1. 把所有能用pkg安装的全部装上。
2. 更新ports。你也许想要先修改一下/etc/portsnap.conf，把不关心的REFUSE掉。
3. 修改/etc/make.conf，添加下面两行：
WITH_NEW_XORG=YES
WITH_KMS=YES
4. 如果下面某个程序已经用pkg装上了，用pkg delete -f删除，然后依次编译。
一些编译时依赖可先用pkg装上，比如：automake gmake bison flex dialog4ports intltool libtool。
编译xorg-server的时候可以不勾选hal选项。
graphics/libdrm
graphics/libGL
graphics/dri
x11-servers/xorg-server
x11-drivers/xf86-input-mouse
x11-drivers/xf86-input-keyboard
x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel
5. 在/etc/rc.conf中添加下面两行：
dbus_enable="YES"
moused_enable="YES"
如果编译时勾选了hal选项，可以不要moused，但是要添加下面一行：
hald_enable="YES"

和 3D 渲染相关的那一整套技术就是各种 hack 的破烂堆。
Wayland 要简单、现代很多。

Mac OS X 和 Windows 也许没什么过人之处，但简单易用，
不需要折腾，比 X 强多了。

其实 xorg 的短处主要就是硬件方面，这么多年硬件厂商对于 xorg 跟
防贼一样。nvidia 到目前都没有公布其驱动源码，更别提其硬件细节。
如果 xorg 能够得到显示硬件厂商的完全支持，我以为其性能，稳定性
都不输 OS X 以及 windows。

X11 毕竟是 20 多年前(1987)制定的标准。
而要从 X1 (1984)算起，X Window 到今年就要有整整
30 年的历史了。

而 Wayland 正是根据目前的显示需求而产生的新标准
和新实现。

像 PC-BSD 或是任何一个 GNU/Linux 发行版都会把图形
界面整合好。

Xorg 对于硬件加速没有形成得到广泛认可的标准。
Intel 提出的那些接口，像 EXA、XvMC，有的功能太有限。
这种情况而，nVidia 也没有什么更好的选择，只能是让
OpenGL 库直接与自己的 Xorg 模块和内核模块对接，
而对于视频加速则似乎有些无所事从。

要像微软那样提出 Direct3D、DirectShow 之类的接口
标准，不仅是用户级接口，也有内核接口，才能让硬件
提供商一路走来。
